After Somalia, Bosnia and Herzegovina is the only country in the world that has not had a census for decades thus there is no relevant statistical data of the inhabitants, since the last census was done in 1991.
Today’s issue of the census in BiH, which has repeatedly delayed due to irreconcilable differences between Serbian and Bosnian Muslim parties (from the Republika Srpska and the Muslimo -Croatian Federation), remains primarily a political issue. Bosnian Muslim political parties persistently evaded registration and census for several reasons – on one hand it suits their interest that the political power is divided by ethnic background; second reason for their contra is that the census will expose all falseness of supposedly ethnically clean Republika Srpska and allegedly multiethnic Federation.
President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik reiterated a few days ago that the list will clearly expose the Muslimo – Croatian federation was totally ethically cleansed of Serbs, which Bosnian Muslims (and Croats) persistently denied all these years, meanwhile Republika Srpska remains multiethnical.
– It will especially be exposed in the case of Sarajevo. It is a city without Serbs and a place where a kind of genocide took place, because Bosnian Muslims didn’t just kill but also systematically persecuted and forcibly displaced Serbian population – said Dodik.

Former Chairman of the interim committee for the preparation of the registration lists in BiH Branko Dokic for “News” estimated that the list will show that in the Republika Srpska live between 15 and 20 percent of Bosnian Muslims, but also that the number of Serbs in the Federation from over 30 % fell to less than two percents.
– These are approximate estimates of pre two or three years, and the data from the census will show exactly what was the migration from Serbian, and how the Federation and it is one of the most important reasons why the Bosniak Party postponed list, because it will show a list of that more than Serbs migrated Bosniaks and Croats – said Dokic.
The key issue concerning the census is that Bosnian Muslims don’t want the truth of what happened during the war. The census list will expose that the Muslimo – Croatian Federation today is almost totally ethnically cleansed of Serbs, meanwhile in the Republika Srpska still live between 15 and 20 % of Bosnian Muslims.
The registration in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be held from 1 to 15 October this year.
